Pupil Voice at Dalton St Mary's is an opportunity for all children in our school to offer ideas and opinions to shape their experience in our school.
Pupil Voice has evolved from the previous structure of our School Council. Staff and children feel this is a proactive way of gathering thoughts and opinions of all children and offers a broader perspective than the School Council structure.
All children in school are members of a Buddy Group. Each Buddy Group is made up of pupils from each year group within our school.
Every week our Buddy Groups come together and have the opportunity to discuss issues that are relevant to them and our school.
Staff from across the school are able to suggest discussion topics for Buddy Group meetings. Staff can also use Buddy Groups to evaluate areas of the curriculum and assess impacts of different areas of the curriculum and learning.
