I feel privileged and excited to be the headteacher at Dalton St. Mary’s and love leading the school forward and being part of our caring school community. I am proud to work alongside our dedicated team of staff and a school full of wonderful and enthusiastic children. We are very proud to be an Apple Distinguished School and technology plays a great part in our learning at Dalton St. Mary’s.
Our school works closely with the wider community to enhance our children’s learning and also we enjoy participating in the many exciting, local events which take place in Dalton. The school prides itself on the strong partnership which exists between parents, pupils, staff, governors, church and the local community.
All children who attend DSM remain at the heart of all planning for the future and everything we do each day. Our school vision is that all children will be happy, confident and aspirational.
They will have resilience that stems from the positive Christian foundation embedded at Dalton St Mary’s. Passionate teaching, innovative ideas and technology will ensure our children are life-long learners; prepared for their future in an ever changing world.
As a Church of England Voluntary Aided school, education is provided in accordance with the principles and practices of the Church of England. Worship, religious education and spiritual development are at the core of the work of this school.
